Farm

Farm

Among the countryside of Gallura, our farm was established in 2008: a project rooted in land that has belonged to our family for generations.

For many years we focused exclusively on vine growing and wine production. In 2014, an important decision marked a turning point: to diversify, open our doors and combine farming with hospitality. From this idea, the Villamarina agriturismo was born in 2018.

Today farming and hospitality coexist in a natural balance, united by the same family spirit.

The Family

Mariateresa is the soul of the agriturismo: she welcomes guests, organizes daily activities and takes care of every detail with passion and dedication.

Ottavio is the heart and the hands of the farm. A deep expert in vineyards and winemaking, he preserves agricultural knowledge with respect and experience, personally overseeing every stage of production.

Alongside them are their sons, Peppino and Antonio. Raised among the vineyard rows and now following different professional paths, they look at this reality with renewed interest, ready to carry forward a heritage built on sacrifice, identity and pride.

Born and Raised in Gallura

Like every Gallurese, our connection with this land is deep and instinctive.

The vineyards we cultivate grow on land owned by our family for several generations: this is not only the place where we work, it is the place we belong to.

The values that guide us are clear: respect for the land, enhancement of native grape varieties and genuinely family-style hospitality.

Our Vineyards

The estate extends over four hectares of vineyards cultivated between Tempio Pausania and Aglientu, mainly with native grape varieties.

Vermentino, the bright and distinctive expression of Gallura.

Caricagiola, a rare red grape deeply connected to this land and one of the most authentic expressions of the Gallura wine heritage.

We cultivate our vineyards with care and respect, following the rhythms of nature and always privileging quality over quantity.

Karaddu, Our Wine

From the Caricagiola grape comes Karaddu, our red wine.

The name recalls the countryside around Tempio Pausania where it is produced — landscapes of granite, wind and cork oak forests that give the wine its character and personality. Karaddu is an authentic red, a direct expression of the land: bold yet balanced, with intense aromas and a structure that reflects the strength of Gallura.

The grapes are hand-harvested and the production is intentionally limited, ensuring care and attention at every stage of winemaking.

Guests staying at Villamarina can taste and purchase our wine directly at the agriturismo.
